Recycled Art, I Prefer Maastricht

Kringloopwinkels in the Netherlands are very usefull when you kneed cheap furniture or other things when you start with nothing in a new environment. Pottera has a very usefull collection of Kringloop adresses in Maastricht.

But, as the blog I Prefer Paris so beautifully illustrates, beauty and art are to be found everywhere.

Reading about Bongo art at TEFAF in the economist:

“Tall, fragile and unknowable, they are a symbol of scholarship and history. This is the kind of original speciality that shows the Maastricht art fair at its best.”

Reminded me immediately of the art collection at Kringloop Zuid. Several fine examples of wood carving. I could not resist to buy one for my personal collection.
